Meeting transcription and dictation.Nothing leaves your Mac.
MeetingEcho records and transcribes your meetings, takes dictation in any app and turns what your colleagues say into language practice, all on your Mac.
Knows who spoke. Your voice and the other side are recorded separately, so the transcript says who said what, and echo from speakers is removed.
Transcript and translation, side by side. In your working languages, also when the language changes during the call.
The transcript and its translation, side by side, with who said what.
A summary that knows the meeting. Title, attendees and agenda come from your calendar. With your AI provider: summary, decisions, action items and open questions.
Mark the moment. One shortcut marks what matters. Marked moments show in the transcript, the notes and the next brief.
The summary, with decisions, action items and open questions.
Slides, with their text. Capture the shared screen with a shortcut. The text on each slide is read on your Mac and placed in the transcript where it was shown.
Talk time. How much you spoke, how many questions you asked, and who talked over whom.
A small bar stays above a full-screen call: time, levels, Mark, Slide, Captions and Stop.
The recording bar stays above a full-screen call.
A brief before the next one. A few minutes before a meeting: who is coming, what was decided last time, which action items are open.
Search everything. Find any word in every meeting, in every working language.
The brief before the next meeting: people, last time, and words to use.

Always tell people you are recording. MeetingEcho reminds you.

Fast or precise. Apple's dictation model shows your words as you speak. Whisper is more accurate with names and accents, and finds the language by itself.
In your languages. Dictate in any of your working languages. One tap switches the language for a single dictation.
Enhance, if you want it. Remove filler words, turn rambling into a short email, or translate on the way in. Through your own AI provider, and only when you switch it on.
Your history, as text. Every dictation is kept as text, with the app it went to. Never the audio. Never at a password field.

Synthetic voices on an Apple silicon Mac; there is no figure from real meetings yet. A number written as digits counts as an error, and that is most of the errors. Base and Small (–) were not measured on meetings.

Price and free trial
Free for 14 days
Try everything for 14 days. No account, no card. When the trial ends, your recordings, transcripts, summaries and cards stay yours: readable, searchable and exportable, for good.
No. Recording and transcription happen on your Mac. Audio leaves it only if you switch transcription to a cloud provider yourself, which is off by default.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-up and no login. Your licence key is checked on the Mac, without an internet connection.
Does a bot join my Teams meeting?
No. MeetingEcho records what your Mac plays and what your microphone hears. Nothing is added to the meeting, and nobody sees a recorder join.
Which meeting apps work?
Teams, Zoom, Webex, Slack, FaceTime and calls in the browser, such as Teams on the web or Google Meet. Any app that plays sound on your Mac works the same way. You can also record conversations in the room.
Is it legal to record meetings?
In many places, including Germany, you need the consent of everyone you record. Tell people you are recording and follow your organisation's rules. MeetingEcho reminds you at the start of every recording.
Do I need an AI subscription?
No. Recording, transcription, translation, dictation, search and study cards work without one. Summaries, Enhance and richer cards use an AI provider you choose, with your own key, or a model running on your own Mac.
Which languages can I learn?
German, English, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese and Dutch come with ready-made meeting phrases and grammar. Any other language MeetingEcho understands can be learned with words and sentences from your meetings.
How does the Anki export work?
One click makes an Anki deck package and opens it in Anki. Each card has the sentence from the meeting as audio. Exporting again updates the cards already in Anki.
What do I need?
A Mac with Apple silicon and macOS 26 or later. The app itself is a download of a few MB; the most accurate speech model, 1.1 GB, follows when you press Download now in the welcome tour. Together they take about 1.2 GB of disk space.
Which languages is the app itself in?
English and German. MeetingEcho follows the language of your Mac, or you choose under Settings > General > "MeetingEcho in". Transcripts, summaries and study cards keep the language of the meeting.
What happens after the trial?
Everything you have made stays readable, searchable, playable and exportable, and dictation with Apple's model keeps working, as spoken. Recording, transcribing (imported files too), summaries and corrections, translation, live captions, making and practising study cards, slide capture, dictation with Whisper, Enhance and Ask Copilot need a licence.
Is MeetingEcho on the Mac App Store?
Not at launch. Dictation into other apps and call recording need macOS permissions the App Store does not allow, so MeetingEcho is sold directly, with the same privacy.
Is there a Windows or iPhone version?
No. MeetingEcho is made for the Mac.
