Cards from what was really said

Textbooks teach you how to order a coffee. Your meetings show you how your team really talks. After each meeting in the language you are learning, MeetingEcho picks the words worth learning, with article and plural where the language has them, the phrases sorted by the situation they are used in, and whole sentences.

  • Words with their article and plural. die Kostenschätzung, le devis, el presupuesto: nouns come with what you need to use them.
  • Phrases by situation. Giving an update, asking back, disagreeing politely, taking on a task: ten situations, with ready-made phrases and the ones your colleagues use.
  • Hear it in the meeting. Every card plays the sentence as it was said, straight from the recording.
  • Spaced repetition. Cards come back just before you would forget them: after 10 minutes, then 1, 3, 7, 16 and 35 days.
  • Words you hear but never say. MeetingEcho counts how often colleagues use a word, and tells you when you finally use it yourself.
  • Your own sentences, improved. With your AI provider switched on, what you said gets a more natural version and a one-line explanation.
  • Warm up before the meeting. The brief offers that meeting's words and phrases as a short practice.

Hear it in the meeting

Each card from a meeting plays the sentence in the colleague's own voice, from the recording. A natural system voice reads cards aloud too. Cards come back after 10 minutes, then 1, 3, 7, 16 and 35 days and longer; you grade them Again, Hard, Good or Easy.

Seven languages with ready-made meeting phrases

German, English, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese and Dutch come with phrases for ten meeting situations, from opening a meeting to disagreeing politely and summing up, with the polite form where the language has one. Any other language the speech engines support can be learned with words and sentences from your meetings.

Anki and Obsidian in one click

Export a deck package for Anki with two card types and a cloze card, each with the meeting sentence as audio in the speaker's voice. Exporting again updates the cards instead of adding them twice. Obsidian gets a phrasebook and flashcards in your vault, linked to the meeting notes.

Questions and answers

Which languages can I learn?

The seven with ready-made phrases get the full set: German, English, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese and Dutch. Any other language the speech engines support can be learned with words and sentences from your meetings; phrases then come from the AI provider.

Do I need Anki?

No. MeetingEcho has its own practice with spaced repetition. Anki is one click away if you prefer it, and Anki keeps its own schedule.

Where do the meeting phrases come from?

They are built into the app for ten situations, in the polite form where the language has one. They are not a course and do not give a language level.

Does it work for in-person conversations?

Yes. In-person conversations are recorded with the microphone, and the cards are made the same way.
